Janice Zmrazek

Janice is School Administration Consultant at the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction. Janice is the current president of the board of directors of the Friends of the Madison Public Library, where she also coordinates membership, member communication, and the production of the newsletter. She is also a board member and the newsletter editor for the Friends of the Alicia Ashman Branch Library and a member of the South Madison Friends. Several years ago, Janice was involved in the library's long range planning process, which has influenced branch development, planning for a new central library, and also the creation of the MPL Foundation. "It has been great to see the branch development and to see the MPL Foundation grow from those humble beginnings to what it is today. As a long time Friends board member, I believe I can represent Friends interests and help in the development of a strong and appropriate relationship between the MPL Foundation and Friends groups, and look forward to having a new Central Library to serve as the flagship for library services in our community."
